Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope you had great time!
Here are some recent news:
1) Math Department is holding workshops again, starting from this Friday. Here are the workshop options: 30_workshops_signups_0211.pdf, 30_workshops_studentflyer_0211.pdf
If you missed our Wednesday's class, e-mail me as soon as possible which workshop you'd like to take (to guarantee the place).
If you have a grade bellow C right now, here is an incentive for you: STUDENTS WHO SIGN UP FOR THE WORKSHOP WILL BE GUARANTEED A MINIMUM GRADE OF C IF THEY MEET THE FOLLOWING THREE CONDITIONS:
1. Maintain perfect attendance in class for the last three weeks.
2. Maintain perfect attendance at the workshop.
3. Score 70 or higher on the final.
On my behalf: I recommend everybody (even if you have a grade higher than C) to take the workshop and if you attend all the workshop sessions, I'll give you half-grade up.
2) Our Final Exam will be three hours long and is scheduled for Monday, 05/23 from 8am till 10:50 am at CPH 309
Right now it looks like I won't be making up our own final (for our class), but instead it will be done by the Department. Don't worry, the Department will make a nice final.
As a consequence, the Department will also compose the set of review problems that are recommended to go over before the final exam. We'll try to go over them during our Review Class (which will be on Wednesday, 05/18 - last day of classes) - 04/07/2011 Test 2 review problems solutions
